AD7606
ADI AD7606 16-bit 8-channel simultaneous-sampling ADC, 200 kSPS, on-chip reference and anti-alias filter, in a 64-pin LQFP.
The AD7606 is a 16-bit, 8-channel simultaneous-sampling analog-to-digital converter from ADI that integrates eight ADCs, an input clamp, an analog input amplifier, a second-order anti-alias filter, an on-chip reference and a flexible digital interface in one package. Each channel has a signal-to-noise ratio and a total harmonic distortion that suit a power-quality meter or a protection relay, and the true differential inputs operate over several bipolar ranges, so a designer can measure a high-voltage signal without a wide external network. Because all eight channels capture at the same instant, the AD7606 preserves the phase relationship between a voltage and a current channel, which a multiplexed converter cannot do. The device runs from a single 5 V supply with a configurable input range and provides a parallel and a serial interface, so it connects to a host with a modest amount of logic. The on-chip reference plus the internal filter remove several external parts and simplify the analog front end. Typical applications include a power-line meter, a power-quality analyzer, a protection relay, a multi-axis control loop and any system that must sample many channels coherently. Every device BeiLuo ships is factory-traceable and includes an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file. Our FAE team helps you choose the input range and the interface and plan the reference and the layout.
FAE Professional Review
The AD7606 is the natural choice when several channels must be sampled at the same instant, such as a three-phase power meter or a protection relay. The integrated reference, the anti-alias filter and the input clamp remove a lot of external circuitry, and the true differential inputs give a strong common-mode rejection. Confirm the input range and the interface, keep the reference decoupling clean and verify the layout around the analog inputs.

Frequently Asked Questions
What projects suit the AD7606?
It suits a system that must sample eight channels coherently, such as a three-phase power meter, a power-quality analyzer or a protection relay, with a 16-bit resolution in a single 5 V part.
Confirm the input range and the interface for your design.
Why simultaneous sampling?
Sampling all channels at the same instant preserves the phase relationship between them, which a voltage and a current channel need for an accurate power or a power-factor calculation. A multiplexed ADC introduces a channel-to-channel delay that distorts the result.
Read the ADC selection guide for the details.
Is the ADC genuine and documented?
BeiLuo supplies factory-traceable AD7606 converters with an import declaration, certificate of origin and RoHS file on every order. Stock is normally available and the datasheet downloads from this page.
